Four steps, from search criteria to the first night home.
1. Search by breed and region
Use the search bar to filter listings by breed, region (Québec or Ontario) and status. Results are sorted by freshness of updates — a puppy marked "available" really is, not from three months ago.
2. Discover trusted breeders
Every listing uses a standardized format: breed, sex, colour, date of birth, status, price, vaccines, microchip and registration papers. You compare apples to apples, not vague descriptions.
3. Contact the breeder directly
No generic form gets lost in a queue: your questions go straight to the person who knows the litter, its parents and its temperament. They answer — not a call center.
4. Welcome your puppy
Reservation, meeting, contract and handover all happen directly with the breeder, on their usual terms. Mon Chiot made the introduction; the rest happens between you and them.
What we check before a listing goes live.
A portal only has value if the listings on it are reliable. Before a breeder can publish a litter, we verify their identity, their contact details, and the consistency of their information against previously published litters.
We don't accept any listing that refuses to provide standardized details (health, vaccines, microchip, papers) or that shows signs of volume breeding. Families can flag a questionable listing at any time.

Genetic and physical screening recommended for the breed, completed before every litter — not just promised.
Home-based socialization
Puppies handled daily, exposed to noise, children and household life — never raised in a cage or a commercial kennel.

A restricted number of litters per year, to know every puppy individually rather than produce at factory pace.
Documented transparency
Vaccines, deworming, microchip and registration papers provided in writing — not just mentioned verbally.

Puppies are matched to families based on observed temperament, not the colour picked from a photo.
Support after handover
A responsible breeder stays reachable after the puppy leaves — first nights, housetraining, feeding.

No. Mon Chiot is a portal that connects families with independent breeders. We don't own any puppies, don't process any payments, and don't take part in the transaction — that happens directly between you and the breeder.
By freshness of updates, full stop. A breeder who keeps their listings current ranks higher. No paid tier can improve a position — that's our fairness promise to families.
We confirm each breeder's identity and contact details before publishing, and require standardized details (health, vaccines, microchip, papers) on every litter. A portal check doesn't replace your own judgment: ask questions, ask to see the parents, and be wary of a breeder who refuses any visit.
No, and that's intentional. The "Contact the Breeder" button opens a direct conversation; reservation, deposit and contract are negotiated afterward with the breeder, on their own terms.
Flag it. Any listing showing signs of volume breeding, refusal of transparency, or inconsistency is taken down while it's reviewed. The portal's trust depends on everyone staying vigilant.
